No one cares what you know until they know that you care. The key to reaching others for Christ is servant evangelism. Meet a person’s unmet needs. Show a person through actions they matter to you, and they will be open to find out why you care. And that’s the moment we can say, “When I serve You, I’m serving Jesus Christ.” This month I’m short on words and long on sending you out into the harvest. Visit the website www. kindness.com to find out more about servant evangelism. You will find there many, simple, doable suggestions of ways to serve people in Jesus’ name. Go and be kind.

Musicians and Drama Queens (& Kings) Needed
Make a joyful noise this Advent and Christmas. Every Sunday we need some musicians who want to witness and praise God with their music. It doesn’t need to be fancy. It does need to be from the heart. We also want some willing actors and actresses to share their talents, both serious and funny as we welcome Jesus into our homes and our lives this Christmas. Don’t wait for us to ask you. Pray and ask God how you can help. Then give us a call at 856-6831. Help us make a joyful noise so loud the lost sheep can find their way home!

Why Does Church as We Know It Not Work the Way It Used To?
Come find out! The Presbytery of North Puget Sound will sponsor a one day workshop on The Present Future, Six Tough Questions for the Church based on the book by Dr. Reggie McNeal. The seminar will run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at the North Creek Presbyterian Church in Mill Creek. Dr. Reggie McNeal, the featured speaker, is the director of leadership development for the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Dr. McNeal has consulted with congregations and denominations across the country. He is the author of several books including The Present Future. In his book and at the seminar, Dr. McNeal will address six tough questions: How do we convert from Churchianity to Christianity? How do we transform our Community? (take the gospel to the streets). How do we turn members into missionaries? How do we develop followers of Jesus Christ? How do we prepare for the future? How do we develop leaders for a Christian movement?
Seven members of Trinity will be attending this workshop. The cost is only $10.00 and copies of the book can be obtained for $10.00. You can register online at www.npspresbytery.org. If you plan to attend, we will be carpooling from the church on Saturday morning, September 22.

Are You Old Enough to Help Us With This?
Long-time member Margaret Jackson would like to hear from anyone in the congregation who was involved in the Girl Scouts of America in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. If you were so involved or know someone who was involved, please give Margaret a call at 360.854.9216 or 360.707.5226. She’ll appreciate your input and explain why she would like to know.
